LEONE, the largest producer of ice cream and chocolate in the region, presented LEONE ice cream tubs, a new ice cream family, in the summer of 2022. On this occasion, we carried out a multi-channel advertising campaign with a special milestone - the first Slovenian ice cream rap signed by the famous Slovenian rapper Nipke.
The goal: to place the new LEONE ice cream spas alongside the competition
After a successful advertising campaign for LEONE ice cream tubs, this brand presented three new ice cream tubs in the summer of 2022, in which we find eight flavors.
Our challenge? LEONE is a brand whose target customers are predominately individualists. With the new ice cream tubs, they are expanding their target audience and adressing families with top-quality flavor combinations and recipes.
When a TV ad becomes a continued story
We took the story of LEONE toast from last year's TV commercial as a cue for the continuation.
The chorus of the most famous Slovenian song became a rap. Instead of a big celebration, we sat down on the sofa, with our family and a tub of ice cream.
We placed a high-profile TV ad at the heart of the multi-channel campaign. We invited a young boy with a taste for performing onto the living room stage. And with a story of the creation of the LEONE family, performed by our rapper Nipke!
LEONE tubs are made of 90% bio plastic on the basis of mass balance. Consequently there is less newly produced plastic in the world!
Because LEONE tubs are here to stay, we designed and built a new website. With the goal of reusing the tubs our creative team prepared 3 suggestions on how to give the tubs a new life.
The campaign also included displays and tastings at stores. In all major Slovenian cities and at more than 30 sales points, we gave out passersby hundreds of liters of the new LEONE ice cream to taste.
Everyone who bought 2 tubs after the tasting received a jubilee LEONE spoon as a gift.
